What is Celebrate Recovery?

CELEBRATE RECOVERY is a 12-step Christ-centered program for anyone struggling with any hurt, habit or hang-up!  We have found hope and help in the power of Jesus Christ.  We are believers in Jesus Christ who recognize the struggle with the chaos of our lives.  Through Celebrate Recovery we are accessing Christís power in our lives to overcome our issues of anger, grief, alcoholism, guilt and shame, financial loss, divorce, dysfunctional families, sexual abuse, drug abuse, eating disorders and many more!

The purpose of Canyon Lake Community Churchís CELEBRATE RECOVERY is to fellowship and celebrate God's healing power in our lives through the 12 Steps and 8 Recovery Principles.  By working and applying the Biblical principles, we begin to become free from our addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors.

There is healing and freedom from your struggles, if you let Jesus Christ take control!

Twenty-five years ago, Saddleback Church launched Celebrate Recovery with 43 people. It was designed as a program to help those struggling with hurts, habits and hang-ups by showing them the loving power of Jesus Christ through a recovery process. Celebrate Recovery has helped more than 25,000 people at Saddleback, attracting over 70% of its members from outside the church. Eighty-five percent of the people who go through the program stay with the church and nearly half serve as church volunteers.

You may think recovery is only for drug addicts and alcoholics - people whose lives seem out of control.  But thatís just not true!  The Bible teaches that all of us have addictions in our lives.  Sin is addicting and the Bible says, ďall have sinned.Ē  Not one of us is perfect. So no matter what situation you find yourself in, hereís good news: regardless of whether your problem is emotional, financial, relational, spiritual, sexual or whatever, regardless of what you need help with, God wants to help you!

The reality is that youíre not going to get well on your own.  Persistent temptations must be team-tackled through community.  We need each other.  Trying to fix your problems on your own only makes them worse than they were when you started.  But thereís hope. God is ready and waiting to help you if you let Him!
